- Mr. LeDell Whitfield, a WFHS graduate and an electrical engineer at Exxon, greeted our star STEM students from Bains Lower at the West Feliciana Library. Ms. Natasha Hayes, Bains Lower STEM teacher, organized the 2018-2019 STEM Honors Program so her top students could be recognized for their hard work and commitment to STEM.

- The WFMS Youth Legislature had a tremendous year! All offices were held by our students and WFMS had 21 students inducted into the Hall of Fame. WFMS also had several successful bills that were signed into law. The bill sponsors and co-sponsors at Youth Legislature were: Da'Niya Sullivan, Dashna Arbuthnot, Lucas Felton, Felipe Del Solar, Blaine Hord, Barron McClure, Jayden Polk, Andre' LeBlanc, Charles Fox-Smith, Thy Hong, Courtland Patton, and Will D'Aquilla.
- Congratulations go to the WFHS Boys and Girls Track Team! 6-3A District Champions!
- Congratulations goes to Ms. Willa Parkerson and Ms. Diane Comfort! Both were chosen as West Feliciana Volunteers of the Year for 2019-2020! The Associated Professional Educators Association (A+PEL) recognized both for their hard work and service with a reception held at The Francis.
- A special thanks to all who came out to see Annie. Our students and teachers worked very hard and we appreciate your support. A SHOUT OUT! goes to Mr. Brandon Blaylock and Ms. Mikelyn Herrin for putting this wonderful performance together. #wearewestfel

- Bains Lower students, Rylee Thevis, Abby Saint, Gabe Berry, LaMyra Peck, and Macie Cannon did a great job of leading the morning announcements! Each student was full of energy and enthusiasm.
- WFHS students dominated the Skilled Crafts Competition sponsored by the Associated Builders & Contractors in Baton Rouge. Our carpentry team placed first, our electrical team placed second, and Dylan George was recognized as First Place Electrician as the highest scoring competitor in the electrical contest. - Bains Lower students visit the War Veterans Home in Jackson!
- What does success in school look like? When a student reaches his goal and his teachers feel like a million dollars. Congratulations go to Calvin Banford, 2nd grade, and his teachers!
- Congratulations go to Creighton Stout for reaching the 300 point Accelerated Reader Club! Creighton received a signed game ball for the WFHS baseball team.
- Congratulations go to Travis Kilcrease for reaching the 500 point Accelerated Reader Club! Travis received an autographed LSU Coach Ed Orgeron football.
- Ms. Augustine Kelly and Ms. Cynthia Whitaker of the Family Service Center attend the "Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Conference" in Baton Rouge. Both Ms. Kelly and Ms. Whitaker had an opportunity to spend a moment with Governor John Bel Edwards.

- Ms. Sophia Holland's AP English Literature class reenacts the final tragic scene of Hamlet.
- WFHS Sophomore, Clarence Emery, improves the code for his robot in Ms. Amy Adair's Introduction to Robotics Course.
- WFHS Junior, Keldrick Whitfield, holds a model of the Eiffel Tower that he created using a 3D Printer for French teacher, Mr. Hatem Bachar.
- Quarter Four Teacher Academy participants spend the final session reflecting on their practice of teaching and discussing ways in which they can continue to evolve!
- Alexia Temple and Emma Bush are watching a video on Holocaust survivors as part of their Memoir unit in Ms. Christian Funderburk's English class.
- WFMS students, Baron McClure and Sophie Alberstadt, present on Coastal Restoration in Ms. Emily Hurst's science class.

- During his break, Mr. David McMillan introduced WFHS juniors to various scholarship opportunities and application processes.
- Ms. Marissa Doherty takes advantage of the beautiful weather to work with her English I students outside on reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Greg and Carla Canfield are members of the "Copy Cats" at WFMS. The Copy Cats are volunteers who make copies for our teachers. A special thanks to all of the volunteers who make WFMS The Best!
