- Bains Lower 1st graders visited the West Feliciana Parish Library. The students had a great time learning about the resources of our library with our new Super Librarian, Ms. Natalie Beam.

- WFHS 2nd annual Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) college and career fair was a huge success. Students learn about college majors and careers from woman in these fields. A special thank you goes to high school senior Mary Elizabeth Barrow for organizing and coordinating the event this year!

- The WFHS Lady Saints dedicated a victory to Lauren Mendenall. Lauren is a junior at WFHS. She is a great example of a student athlete. She plays both volleyball and softball and is a strong student. Lauren is currently battling cancer. Please keep her in your thought and prayers. - Bains Elementary is a Lighthouse School for Leader in Me! That means it is a nationally recognized school for teaching leadership. Mr. Brent Didier, Adaptive PE teacher, built a lighthouse to further distinguish the school's status.
