As students of West Feliciana Middle School read, they get into a special club called Club Read! Club Read is a club that promotes reading in young students! When students read books on the Summer Reading list, they get invited to join the club! The club promotes books, reading, and of course fun!
This Club Read meeting was no different! Except, that students ate BUGS, and leaped like Sky putting hearts on the wall! The club was promoting Boy Bites Bug and Love Like Sky!
Students Giselle El Bechir, Alex Gonzales and Nakiya Pittman signed up to eat chocolate covered bugs! As a way to promote the book Boy Bites Bug, Librarian, Mrs. Lathrop, ordered chocolate covered bugs for people to eat! This meeting was WILD!!
Students did more than just eat bugs at this meeting, they also jumped like Sky, to put their heart on the wall! Students ran and jumped as high as they could to reach the top! Students really got a JUMP out of this one! Students enjoyed being able to run and jump and put their heart on the wall!
This club meeting wasn’t over yet! Students also did an online Polly, where virtual students were able to join in! Students also enjoyed a quick game of online Bingo and snacks!!
The club is run by Mrs. Lathrop and her student assistants! Club Read has been around for years making students read more and have fun as a reward for reading!
