A group of WFMS 8th graders have finished a class project! Inspired by a trip to the LSU Center for River Studies last school year, these students decided to create a three-dimensional map that could be used as an instructional tool in their Louisiana History class. They came up with a design plan and, with the help of 7th grade art students Joey Peno and Madilyn Golmon, their vision began to take shape. Then, student Jayden Reynolds and his grandfather Lee Ellis built a frame to house the map. Finally, students Hunter Redmon, Jayden Reynolds and Wilder Mata added the finishing touches. The whole class was excited to share the final product with WFMS principal Mark Lester.
