Students in Mr. Roberts' STEM class learned about Newton's laws of motion and did an egg drop project to test how well they could keep the egg from breaking from a high distance.
Today’s Club Read meeting through math classes was an experience! We completed a prime number maze, ate an Indian inspired snack, and survived a race across “hot lava” to celebrate two Club Read books. Much appreciation to Haleigh Bell, Malachi Irvine, and Matthew Morrison for planning and running such a great meeting!
WFMS FYI: (1) WINTER SPORTS PICTURES take place tomorrow. This includes soccer, basketball and tennis. Dress according to your coach's instructions. (2) The WFMS 7th and 8th grade baseball team will have practice Monday through Thursday this week. Practice will be after school until 5:00 at the West Feliciana Sports Park. 6th grade baseball practice will begin next week. The parent meeting for 6th, 7th and 8th grade baseball players will be tomorrow, 1/23 at 5:30 PM in the Middle School gym. Thank you and Go Saints!

Math students were awarded a star for the Walk of Fame showing their growth on Math180 Inventory test.
7th grade math students use spaghetti noodles to try to create triangles. They were given side lengths, cut the spaghetti to those lengths then determined if that made a triangle. Next, they created their own triangles and measured the side lengths.
WFMS: REPORT CARDS go home today. We are also sending a handout for our new behavior support program called KICKBOARD. This app will allow you to be able to monitor your student's behavior daily. The handout will have your students name and instructions to log in. Also, we invite you to attend our FIRST SEMESTER RECOGNITION PROGRAM next Friday, January 19th @ 8:30 AM.
Students may wear FREE DRESS this Friday, January 12th for $1. Students can wear Crocs or slides. Spirit dress rules apply. All proceeds will support the American Heart Association.
