Several members of Club Read attended the annual LTLA Convention at Tall Timbers Conference Center and had a great time. They entered and won many contests (costume was the favorite!), heard wonderful Louisiana storytellers, led convention activities, met new friends, and served as leaders. Special thanks to Eliana Grimsley for serving as the LTLA State Treasurer this year and congratulations to Matthew Morrison for being inducted as the new Treasurer. WFMS Club Read was proud to receive the LTLA Spirit Award as the most outstanding club at convention!

West Feliciana Middle School
West Feliciana Middle School Junior Beta students attended the state convention in Lafayette, Louisiana this week. Daniel Thornhill placed 1st in the Performing Arts Instrumental competition playing the piano and qualifying for Nationals. Quinn Levasseur placed 4th in ELA. We are proud of all of our students who attended and represented WFMS.
The Saints Baseball team took on Silliman tonight in the first home game of the season.
WFMS: BOYS TRACK TRYOUTS will take place Monday, Feb 26th, from 3-4:30 PM. Parents will pick up students from the high school track. Interested students should sign up in the gym.

WFMS: GIRLS TRACK TRYOUTS will take place next Tuesday & Wednesday, Feb 20 - 21, from 3-5:00 PM. Parents will pick up students at the WFHS track. BOYS TRACK TRYOUTS will take place once the high school basketball season ends. We will make an announcement when it's time for boys' tryouts.
WFMS: There will be no after-school tutoring or homework help today. Services will resume next Tuesday, February 20th.
8th Grade Student Council Members spread positivity around the school by giving each teacher a personalized award for Valentine’s Day!
Students in Mrs. Pritchard’s class visited second and third grade classes at Bains to facilitate activities to review math skills. Second grade classes played games to practice telling time to the nearest five minutes. Third grade students created robots with specific area and perimeter.
ATTN 8th Grade Parents! WFHS is hosting a Scheduling Fair TONIGHT! There will be a parent meeting for incoming freshmen in the auditorium at 5:00 PM.
