We know that this time will be very confusing, but please know that we will assist in any way that we possibly can. Your children are very important to us and we hope that each one of you remain safe and healthy.

West Feliciana Middle School

Your child has access to their own account as well. They should be very familiar with the platform because we have been using it in their classes all school year.

To access OnCourse Connect, you will need to go through the school website. The link is under “For Students” and “online resources.” If students Google OnCourse, their usernames and passwords won’t work. Use the username/ password provided to you at the beginning of the year.

These are the exact same lessons as those posted on the teachers OnCourse pages. If you need help logging into OnCourse Connect, please contact us via email at wfms@wfpsb.org. Please include your child’s name in the email so that we can assist you in a timely fashion.

These lessons are all focused on skills that they have either covered or will need in preparation for LEAP Testing. For students who do not have internet at home, we have prepared some paper-based packets and will have those available in the office Thursday from 7:00am – 5:00pm

Good Evening,
In this unprecedented time, we will be working diligently to make sure that we continue to provide learning opportunities for your children. We have asked each of our core content teachers to put together 10 lessons that will help students in their endeavors. Page 1

It was another great day for the WFMS Youth Legislature! We had 8 bills signed into law and 20 students inducted into the hall of fame. To top it off, Joel Rogers was recognized for being an outstanding leader and role model, and WFMS was specifically recognized for their overall leadership skills and work ethic. Go Saints! 💙 #wearewestfel

Today was a great day for the WFMS Youth Legislature. Joel Rogers was named Lieutenant Governor, Lilly Higgins is Speaker of the House, and Will Bergeron is Speaker Pro Temp. Then things got EVEN BETTER when State Senator Womack, who represents West Feliciana Parish, came to visit!

WFMS is excited to announce that we have been named a Leader in Me LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL!! There are fewer than 300 Lighthouse Schools worldwide, and we are thrilled to be one of three schools in our district to receive this honor for the positive impact our school is making for our staff, students, parents, and the greater community.

West Feliciana High School will host tryouts for the Fleur De Lis Dance Team on March 9-11, 2020. All 8th grade girls are eligible to try out! Click here for more information: https://5il.co/dhzz

After reading about a famous Antarctic expedition, students followed in Shackleton’s footsteps via a virtual field trip to Antarctica! They were amazed by the beautiful glaciers and got up close and personal with some gentoo penguins. #gratefel

Today we continued our collaboration with Central Middle School by sharing ideas about science curriculum and instruction. We truly are BETTER TOGETHER! Thank you CMS 💙 #gratefel

4-H students extracted DNA from strawberries during CLUB DAY today. Cool 😎🍓 #wearewestfel

Filmaker Kevin McQuarn, WFHS student Cardell Smith and Naturalist William Daniel visited the WFMS West Fel Explorers Club to share how they use their passions and interests to make a difference in the world 🌎#wearewestfel

Our administrative team visited Central Middle School today to collaborate with their school leaders and share ideas. It was an awesome learning experience! We are so #grateFEL for their hospitality 💙

Mrs. Smith and Hazlip’s 3rd hour English classes interviewed Ms. Breigh Rhodes about her National Geographic expedition to Antarctica. Our 6th graders are currently reading a nonfiction novel about one of the very first Antarctic expeditions! #wearewestfel

Emily Stelly and Catherine Ralph were the first students in Ms. Guttery’s 8th Grade English class to memorize Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18, which made their teacher VERY proud 🙂💙
