Bains 4th graders had an awesome opportunity to participate in a Skype virtual reading session with Ms. Donna Edwards. We were all pleasantly surprised as Governor John Bel Edwards and their dog Lady joined the Skype session.

West Feliciana High School will be hosting a volleyball camp for girls in grades 5 through 8 June 5-7 at the West Feliciana High School gym. Girls going into fifth and sixth grade for the 2018-19 school year will participate from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and girls in seventh and eighth grade will camp from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $50 per participant and includes a T-shirt. Checks should be made payable to West Feliciana High School. For more information or to obtain a registration form, contact Celeste Thornhill at thornhillc@wfpsb.org.
Bains Lower has a record number of students who achieved the 100 point Accelerated Reader Club! Many students achieved well over 100 points! For their achievement, the students were rewarded with a limo ride, a visit to Sonnys and McDonalds, ice cream at Bains Lower, and recognized by Baton Rouge Area Chamber President and CEO, Adam Knapp, Baton Rouge Mayor Sharon Weston Broom Cradle to K Project Manager, Will Minton, and West Feliciana Superintendent Hollis Milton
Bains and Bains Lower have made recent trips to the Veterans Home in Jackson. The visits have been a wonderful experience for our students and our veterans!
